 Anna Watkins Anawalt, a native of Mendon Utah grew up in a home full of music. The influences in her writing and performing come from mulitiple genres. Her performing roots began as a child then in college she taught nature classes for created music for little children to participate in dancing and singing.  The first folk band she performed in was called Juniper Day where she and her best friend Kara Parnell sang and performed for various local events. Kara helped inspired Anna to start recording music and they partial released a first album, "Run Barefoot." Anna and kara helped inspired each other to cultivate musical talents during pregnancy and raising and taking care of their families. Eventually Anna started collaborations with several artist and bands, created two more albums and several singles. She also has won mulitiple awards and nominations in song writing contests, including the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Red Carpet Holland Awards and Josie Music Awards. She has collaborated with writers and producers from Pakistan, UK, France, and the USA. Anna continues to perform and create music in multi genres and seeks to uplift and bring happiness to others, especially through her fiddling and her music about finding hope and love and faith in a world full of challenges. She loves people, outdoors,animals, writing, music and her family (husband Jacob and six children) She also leads an organization that helps encourage musicians of all levels to play folk music and improve in improvisation and ear training. She especially enjoys teaching music to children and loves to perform for anyone, inlcuding animals. You can find some of her performance videos on youtube, instagram and facebook.
