Lyrics

There was a waterfall and an oak leaf
And the feel of the earth beneath my feet
Jay squawk and a raven call
Don’t know why I ever left from there at all

There was a slick rock and a blue sky
Tall pine and a mountain high
No phone, no car, no clock
Just a blue sky and a slick rock

White tailed doe and a snow melt
If I hadn’t gone I’d never known how good it felt
And all the critters call it home
I sit and watch them and I leave them all alone

There was a slick rock and a blue sky
Tall pine and a mountain high
No phone, no car, no clock
Just a blue sky and a slick rock

Now there’s a bat’s flight in the firelight
And a million stars light up the night
No roof overhead
Wish that I could always make my bed

Where there’s a slick rock and a blue sky
Tall pine and a mountain high
No phone, no car, no clock
Just a blue sky and a slick rock
